چکیده

In this paper we investigate the vacuum expectation values of energymomentum tensor for conformally coupled scalar field in the standard parallel plate geometry with Dirichlet boundary conditions and on background of planar domain wall case. First we calculate the vacuum expectation values of energy-momentum tensor by using the mode sums, then we show that corresponding properties can be obtained by using the conformal properties of the problem. The vacuum expectation values of energy-momentum tensor contains two terms which come from the boundary conditions and the the gravitational background. In the Minkovskian limit our results agree with those obtaind in [3].

Dynamic and Static Pull-in instability of electrostatically actuated nano/micro membranes under the effects of Casimir force and squeezed film damping

In the current study, the effects of Casimir force and squeeze film damping on pull-in instability and dynamic behavior of electrostatically actuated nano and micro electromechanical systems are investigated separately. Linear elastic membrane theory is used to model the static and dynamic behavior of the system for strip, annular and disk geometries. Squeeze film damping is modeled using nonli...

The Casimir energy for massless scalar field which satisfies priodic boundary conditions in two-dimensional domain wall background is calculated by making use of general properties of renormalized stress-tensor. The line element of domain wall is time dependent, the trace anomaly which is the nonvanishing T µ µ for a conformally invariant field after renormalization, represents the back reactio...

Casimir effect in Domain Wall formation

The Casimir forces on two parallel plates in conformally flat de Sitter background due to conformally coupled massless scalar field satisfying mixed boundary conditions on the plates is investigated. In the general case of mixed boundary conditions formulae are derived for the vacuum expectation values of the energy-momentum tensor and vacuum forces acting on boundaries. Different cosmological ...
